Counselling & Psychotherapy
Jennifer Day
Psychoanalytic Therapist
I qualified as a doctor from Leeds Medical School in 1994. I have worked in psychiatry in the NHS for the past 25 years and gradually developed my interest in psychoanalytic psychotherapy attending a number of courses. I continue to work in the NHS part time as a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst.
I offer private psychoanalytic therapy at Clarence House. Come and talk to me in a confidential, non-judgmental space and explore whatever is on your mind. Sessions are 50 minutes once or twice a week, and I currently charge £55 a session. The first consultation is free.

Psychotherapy can help when life feels unbearably difficult and it can also help make a decent life even better
My training is psychoanalytical which, put simply, means that through allowing yourself the time and space to unfold, together we can think about the difficulties you are experiencing
It offers a safe and confidential space to speak freely and think about not only the conscious but also unconscious processes that affect how we make decisions and act
I am a registered member and abide by the code of ethics of Society for Social and Critical Psychoanalysis, The Society for Social & Critical Psychoanalysis & the UKCP
