Paul Baxter

Paul started practising Alexander Technique in 1996, trained as an AT teacher with Cumbria Alexander Training in Kendal, and has twenty years professional experience. He has helped musicians, dancers, performers - wanting to improve or maintain high level motor skills and functioning - as well as individuals interested in self-development through improved somatic awareness and embodied choicefulness.

Since 2013 Paul has enthusiastically explored other somatic practices including Amerta, Authentic Movement, Feldenkrais, Ecological & Autobiographical Movement, as well as non-stylised dance and 5Rhythms. He also completed an MA in Creative Writing in 2019, which was based on his somatic explorations. All of this work has broadened his perspective and informs his teaching, whether in the traditional AT one-to-one format, or AT for small groups with specific needs, or for any one (or group) interested in exploring body-mind-movement & creativity. A new arrival in Penzance, Paul is keen to share his knowledge and experience, to help grow community, awareness and well-being for all.
