Life Coaching

Personal Performance or Life Coaching has been around in the UK since the 1990s. It originated from sports coaching in the USA; coaching is used for personal, business and youth clients.

Coaching is present and future based, inspiring and motivating. It is essentially a focused space for the client to concentrate on how they wish to change or transform aspects of their life.

The coach listens intently to the client, asking significant questions and using tools and techniques to bring about clarity and confidence for the client. Most sessions end with the client having an action plan for change, thus moving their life forward in the direction they require.

Featured on UK Coach Directory & local radio.

As well as being a professionally trained and experienced Life Coach, I am a qualified Trainer and Facilitator (Grad CIPD), with 20 years People Development experience. My Life Coach course was a pioneering, established, rigorous, London-based, two year course, approved by the ICF (International Coach Federation), which is the global gold standard in coach training. I have coached people from all walks of life; as an example people who are either unemployed, retired, starting their own business, working in creative industries, consultants, and a managing director. I am featured on the UK Life Coach Directory, which lists only fully qualified and accredited coaches. I have been interviewed by radio stations in Penzance and Falmouth.

My mission is to assist people to become more organised, focused and motivated in their personal and work life. I specialise in Work-Life Balance, Career and Life Change coaching.

I am also an accredited DISC Personality Test practitioner, which I use with clients as part of their coaching sessions – this helps with their self-understanding and greatly assists their communication skills. I also offer DISC to business for recruitment and team building.

Life Coaching sessions at Clarence House are on a one-to-one basis, typically lasting one hour. A 30 minute complimentary initial consultation is offered.

Monthly Affordable Life Coaching Workshops are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month 10.30am – 12pm at Clarence House; also St Ives venue (Tregenna Castle) 12pm – 1.30pm. An occasional Coaching Café is held in the evenings.

Why see a Life Coach?

The reasons a person may want to go to see a Life Coach are for when they have a need to change an aspect of their life and want an objective person to help them achieve this (for example changing career, wanting a better work-life balance, wanting to start a business/college course, relocation, retirement). Sometimes, life also throws unexpected change at people and that is also an area that people seek a life coach; for example divorce, redundancy, bereavement.
